Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co is stopping production in April at three automobile and engine plants in Chonburi province temporarily from April 1.

The company told employees of its plants in Laem Chabang, Sriracha district, that the move was in accordance with the production adjustment plan due to the market situation. Car sales have slumped due to the spread of Covid-19.

The company notified the employees in the direct production section to temporarily stop work and offered them 85 per cent of the wages at Factory 1, from April 1-26;

Factory 2, April 1-19 and Factory 3, April 1-22.
